Teacher shot dead
A public school teacher was shot dead by motorcycle-riding assailants in barangay Camboang in Dumanjug town, southwest Cebu.
Ariel Antonio Cucena, 45, succumbed to gunshot wounds in the head and right leg.
Police said the victim was driving a motorcycle with his 12-year-old daughter when the gunman on a motorcycle shot him past 11 p.m. Saturday.

The girl was wounded after she was thrown off the motorcycle, said PO1 Nestor Villanueva of Dumnajug police station.
The father and daughter were heading home from a benefit dance when they were attacked. Police are still investigating the motive of the killing. /REPORTER JOY CHERRY S. QUITO
