Tabal bags 16k Run To The Max title

Mary Joy Tabal continued her winning ways as she dominated the 16-kilometer race of the 4th Run To The Max yesterday at the Holiday Gym and Spa premises.

Tabal, who recently topped the 21-kilometer run of the 37th National Milo Marathon Cebu Qualifying Leg, finished the 16k run with a time of one hour, five minutes and 55 seconds.

Cristy Tutor placed second with a time of 1:15.47 while Sandra Soliano rounded off the top three, finishing in 1:16.31. Incidentally, Tutor and Soliano were also Tabal’s runners-up in the Milo race.

Kenyan Isaac Simat, meanwhile, topped the men’s division of the 16k with a time of 54:38. He was trailed by fellow Kenyan Douglas Mwiti (54:55) and local ace Noel Tillor (57:12).

Tenggoy Colminares and triathlete Rochelle Tan took the top spots in the 16k clients division.

Colminares clocked 1:17.46 to take the men’s title while Tan finished in 1:29.46 to win the women’s crown.

Abraham Missous joined his Kenyan compatriots in the podium after he topped the 8k open division with a time of 26:53.

Cebuano John Daryll Manos placed second at just four seconds behind (26:57) while Jory Ycong settled for third with a time of 28:24.

The Andrin sisters, Lovely Fe and Cherry, finished one-two in the 8k female open division. They finished virtually side-by-side with Lovely Fe clocking 37:17 and Cherry finishing in 37:18. Sarah Lee Cuizon grabbed the third spot (37:25).

Brett Tabanas and Lezlie Sordilla emerged the fastest in the 3k division. Tabanas finished in 17:14 while Sordilla clocked 23:15.
