THE BARANGAY Ginebra Kings and the Talk ‘N Text Tropang Texters got an extra day to prepare after their scheduled do-or-die showdown yesterday was cancelled due to heavy flooding in various places in Metro Manila.

The two teams will instead meet at 7:15 p.m. today at the Araneta Coliseum.

Talk ‘N Text and Ginebra are fighting for the eighth and last quarterfinal spot in the 38th PBA Governors’ Cup.

The Texters forged the rubbermatch after they humbled the Kings, 113-99, last Sunday night.

The winner in tonight’s crucial game will play the top seed Petron Blaze Boosters, who will be enjoying a twice-to-beat advantage.

The quarterfinals will officially start on Wednesday also at the Big Dome with the Meralco Bolts and the Barako Bull Energy Colas colliding in the 5:15 p.m. first game and the San Mig Coffee Mixers and the Alaska Aces going up against each other in the 7:30 p.m. main game.Meralco and San Mig both have twice-to-beat edges.

Action will resume on Thursday at the Mall of Asia Arena with the twice-to-beat Rain or Shine Elasto Painters facing the GlobalPort Batang Pier followed by the encounter between Petron and the winner in the Ginebra-Talk ‘N Text tussle.
