Meanwhile, The Philippine National Railways (PNR) has temporarily cancelled its operations due to heavy floods brought by the storm-enhanced southwest monsoon.
PNR authorities posted on its Twitter (PNR_GovPH) “all trips are cancelled as of this hour, due to floods in different areas. Sorry for the inconvenience.”
The Light Railways Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) remain operational despite the bad weather.
Supertyphoon “Odette” hit Batanes province on Sautrday with strong winds up to 300kph, the strongest typhoon to hit Batanes in 25 years.
According to Philippine Geophysical Astronmical Services Administration (Pagasa) official, after “Odette” affected the country, tropical storm “Pabuk” was on its way to Japan but it’s affecting the southwest monsoon.
Gilbert Aquino, weather observer from Pagasa, also said that the storm will not likely enter the country.
