4 killed in Manila fire

Manila, Philippines – Four people were killed when fire broke out at a house in Manila early Monday, a city fire officer said.

Senior Fire Officer 2 Romel Lorenzo identified the fatalities as Hilda Cheng, and her three helpers identified only as Princess, Fatima, and Rema.

They were killed when fire gutted their house along Tomas Mapua in Binondo, Manila at 4:44 a.m.

The fire reached fifth alarm before it was placed under control at 6:30 a.m. It was completely put out at 7:40 a.m.
