E-League elims ends

PLAYOFF-BOUND Accenture Sharks and Eperformax Reds scored separate wins at the close of the elimination round of the 2013 E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym, last Saturday.

The Sharks pulled off a 72-64 win over the Teleperformance Lions while the Reds tallied an easy 99-72 triumph over the 1&1 Marauders.

The last elimination play date also saw the Executive Boutique Lycans scoring a default win over the ASI Hardbacks, avoiding a winless season.

The Lycans bowed out with a 1-9 (win-loss) record, while the Hardbacks went 2-8.

The best-of-three conference semifinals will start on Saturday.

In the southern conference, the Wipro Wildcats (7-3) will take on the Lexmark Stallions (8-2), while the Sharks (9-1) will battle the Sykes Pioneers (6-4).

Facing off the in the northern conference semifinals are the Aegis Vipers (9-1) against the Reds (6-3) and the Calltek Trojans (8-2) versus defending champions Stream Ingenyouity (9-1).  /EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
