Fire hits 10 houses

Fire hit a residential area in Sampaloc, Manila, Thursday morning, damaging around 10 houses with an estimated cost of P2 million.

SFO3 John Joseph Jalique said the fire which reached the fifth alarm started at 9:54 a.m. at 1984 interior Firmeza Alley in the Balic-balic area. The cause was still under investigation.

Three people were treated for difficulty of breathing. They were identified as 86-year-old Lilia Marasigan, Eduardo Aniag and a certain Buboy, both aged 37.

The fire was placed under control at 10:39 a.m. and put out at 11:19 a.m.
