All Zamboanga flights cancelled—DOTC

MANILA, Philippines–All commercial flights to and from Zamboanga City have been cancelled, the Department of Transportation and Communication announced Monday.

The DOTC cited “security and safety” as reasons for putting on hold the landing and takeoff of all flights at the Zamboanga International Airport.

This came as members of the Moro National Liberation Front attacked the southern Philippine city and held 38 people hostage on Monday.
