Asi set for PBA comeback

AT 40 years old, the six-foot-nine Asi Taulava is set to make a comeback in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA).

This after the Meralco Bolts have reportedly agreed to trade Taulava’s rights to the Air21 Express, according to a report posted at Spin.ph.

In getting Tauvala, the Express will ship pointguard Mike Cortez to the Bolts, the report added.

Papers for the impending deal have been submitted to the PBA Commissioner’s Office for approval.

Taulava won a Most Valuable Player in the PBA before he suited up for the San Miguel Beermen in the Asean Basketball League (ABL) where he helped the team win a title./EDITORIAL ASSISTANT CALVIN D. CORDOVA
