MANILA, Philippines — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDG) has arrived in Makati City jail to inspect the cell Janet Lim-Napoles will be transferred to, Philippine National Police spokesperson Theodore Sindac said.

But it isn’t sure whether Napoles will move in later Thursday as the CIDG has yet to inspect the jail.

Earlier in the day, Makati regional trial court issued a commitment order for her detention.

On Wednesday night, Napoles voluntarily surrendered to Malacanang after she went into hiding for 14 days.

Napoles is allegedly the mastermind behind the P10 billion scam involving the misuse of the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or “pork barrel” by legislators.
