Town councilor nabbed for carrying unlicensed firearm
A MUNICIPAL councilor in Carmen town, northern Cebu was arrested after he was caught carrying an unlicensed firearm Tuesday afternoon.
Police said James Camara failed to prove that he had a firearm license for the KG9 rifle in his possession.
Police said they have been monitoring Camara due to persistent complaints by his neighbors that he had been indiscriminately firing in their neighborhood.
Last Tuesday, PO3 Roger Delan alerted the Carmen police station after he spotted Camara carrying a gun while driving a Multicab.
Camara was then heading for his cassava plantation in barangay Ipil where Delan lives.
