Razon now at Camp Crame

MANILA, Philippines–Former Philippine National Police Chief Avelino Razon arrived at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City where he is set to be detained following his surrender to the Sandiganbayan earlier Wednesday.

Razon, along with several other respondents, were taken to the office of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group around 5:45 p.m.

They will undergo the normal booking process, of which includes finger printing and taking of their mug shots.

Sandiganbayan earlier issued an arrest warrant against Razon and 32 others over the fictitious repair and maintenance of light armored vehicles worth P358.48 million in 2007.

After the booking process, which is expected to finish within 45 minutes, the respondents will be escorted to the PNP Custodial Center where they will be detained.
