FRACTALIS forced a winner-take-all Game Three after they held off the Mortaflex, 65-54, in Game Two of the best-of-three championship series in the United Architects Basketball Club (UABC) First Conference last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College gym.
Fractalis got off to a blazing start as they led 24-6, after the first period but tapered off in the ensuing canto and let Mortaflex get back into the thick of things. Still, Fractalis held an 11-point advantage, 54-43, heading to the last period.
However, Mortaflex had one last push in them as they came within four on several occasions, thanks to the shotmaking of Fritz Adlawan and Ferdinand Tiro. But Fractalis sealed the victory with a corner three-pointer by Jay Panerio and an inside bucket by Vincent Sesbreno to tie the title series up at 1-1.
Panerio paced the winning team with 13 while Alexander Vidal added 11. Mortaflex got 14 each from Tiro and Adlawan. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
