Pa hits daughter unconscious

An 18-year old woman was knocked unconscious with a blow to her head by her father in barangay Ibabao, Cordova around noon yesterday.

Sarah (not her full name) of sitio Bangkal, barangay Ibabao, Cordova town was rushed to Mactan Doctors Hospital after her father struck her with a length of lumber during a heated argument.

Her father, Luisito Repullo, 35, evaded responding policemen.

Motorcycle stolen near cockpit

Francisco Besabella of barangay Alang-alang, Mandaue City reported to police the theft of his motorcycle parked in the Mandaue Coliseum yesterday.

Besabella said he could no longer find his Honda XRM 2009 model when he went out of the coliseum around 11 a.m. yesterday.

Piggery suicide

A 26-year-old man was found dead hanging from the ceiling of piggery in sitio Tubod, barangay Matab-ang, Toledo City.

Jaime Rodriguez Jr., married, died in an apparent suicide last Sunday. He was found around 5 a.m.

Police said that apparently Rodriguez had been admitted several times in the past as a psych patient at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center Rehabilitation Center (VSMMC). He is allegedly hooked on drugs.

He was immediately brought to Balamban District Hospital, where an attending physician declared him dead. /Correspondent Christine Emily L. Pantaleon

Man stabbed by neighbor

A 31-year old man landed in hospital after he was stabbed by his neighbor in barangay Looc, Mandaue City yesterday afternoon.

John Christian Cabahug, a resident of sitio Pokang was allegedly attacked by Christopher Mahilum, 28, with an empty bottle. Cabahug sustained wounds in the left leg, left arm and hands.

Cabahug is now recuperating in a hospital while Mahilum was arrested by responding policemen from the Opao Police Station. /Correspondent Norman V. Mendoza

Man shot in Talisay rumble

A 28-year-old man who tried to pacify a fight in barangay Lawaan III in Talisay City last Sunday afternoon sustained a gunshot wound in the back of his body.

Rolly Para tried to pacify a friend identified only as Arfel who was fighting Mario Secretaria. In the scuffle, Para was allegedly shot by Louis Secretaria, Mario’s brother using a hand gun of unknown caliber.
