MANILA, Philippines—The weather bureau on Thursday lifted the yellow rainfall warning in Metro Manila after light to moderate rains have been observed in the past two hours.
“Light to moderate rainfall was observed over Metro Manila for the past two hours. With this development, the Yellow Rainfall Advisory over Metro Manila is now terminated,” the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said in an advisory issued at 11 a.m.
A yellow rainfall alert is issued for moderate to heavy rains.
Since the onset of Tropical Storm “Maring” (international name Trami) which enhanced the southwest monsoon, Pagasa issued a total of 34 advisories that went up to red rainfall alert at the height of the storm.
Earlier, Pagasa said the weather was likely to improve after the storm left the country Wednesday. As of posting time, the storm already made landfall in mainland China.
The southwest monsoon continues to affect Luzon.
Meanwhile, moderate to heavy rains with occasionally intense rainfall were expected over Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, portions of Zambales and Rizal and were likely to continue for the next three hours.
