Cop, companion shot and wounded in Makati
MANILA, Philippines —A policeman and a former town watchman were shot and wounded in Makati City early Wednesday, a spokesperson from the Southern Police District said.
Police Officer 2 Mark Telly, 30, of the Police Security and Protection Group (PSPG) in Camp Crame, and Joan Villorente, 28, a former bantay bayan officer, were shot by unidentified suspects at around 3 a.m. near Tulip and Calla Streets in Barangay Pembo, Chief Inspector Jenny Tecson said.
The two sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were brought to the Ospital ng Makati, said Tecson.
Authorities have yet to determine the suspects’ motive, she said.
