Manila, Philippines – The Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) will continue operations Monday despite the bad weather brought by the southwest monsoon enhanced by tropical storm “Maring.”
“LRT 1 and 2 [are] on operational status despite the rains . . . MRT3 [is] also on operational status,” LRTA spokesman Hernando Cabrera said on his Twitter account (@attycabs), though he said the number of tellers might be limited.
The LRT-1 links Roosevelt in Quezon City to Baclaran, while LRT-2 links C.M. Recto in Manila to Santolan in the Marikina-Pasig area.
MRT, meanwhile, links Taft Avenue in Pasay City to North Avenue in Quezon City via EDSA.
