MANILA, Philippines — Traffic is reported in several areas in Metro Manila as motorists are slowing down due to slippery roads caused by rains from Typhoon “Labuyo,” a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority officer said Tuesday.
“Vehicles are moving slowly because the road is slippery,” Banjo Petisanan of MMDA-Metrobase said.
At the southbound lane of EDSA, Petisanan said traffic was moving slowly from Timog all the way to White Planes, as well as at Highway 54 to Buendia.
At the northbound lane, slow movement of vehicles was recorded from Estrella to Guadalupe.
The same situation was observed from the Gate 4 of Camp Aguinaldo until Santolan.
In C5, traffic build-up was monitored from CP Garcia to the area of Mirriam College, as well as at Libis until Market! Market!
At the northbound lane, traffic is moderate from Green Meadows to Libis.
There is also traffic build-up in the area of the Ateneo de Manila University on Katipunan in Quezon City.
In Roxas Boulevard, traffic is moderate towards Airport Road, as well as at the westbound lane of Quezon-Araneta.
In Commonwealth, moderate traffic was recorded at the westbound lanes of Tandang Sora and Philcoa.
Meanwhile, there have been no reports of floods, Petisanan said.
