TWO sisters from Alcoy town in southern Cebu province died this week after eating canned food.
PO3 Emilio Carungay of the Alcoy police precinct said the relatives of Lisa and Libby Iman suspected that food poisoning may have caused their deaths after they experienced frequent episodes of vomiting.
The sisters lived in their ancestral house in Poblacion, Alcoy town.
Their elder brother and youngest sister also ate the canned food and experienced vomiting but managed to recover.
Carungay said they have yet to receive the medical exam results done on the two sisters.
Libby Iman was rushed to the Dalaguete District Hospital and transferred to the Chong Hua Hospital in Cebu City last Friday. She died yesterday morning. UP Cebu Intern Christine Estrella
