4 Cebuanos make UK football camp

FOUR Cebuano booters were chosen to be part of the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) Under- 11 team what will be undergoing a three-week educational and training program in the United Kingdom from Aug.23 to Sept 15.

Josh Rupert Asignar, Tristan Karl Enad, Yuan Josemari Rena and Charles Unabia will be joining 18 others picked from other parts of the country for the British Council-sponsored trip.

Although the 22 have been preselected from the 90 that have already been scouted during the 2013 PFF Regional Festival of Football held last February and March, they still had to undergo a tryout conducted by national U-11 head coach Eliezer Fabroada and assistant coach Oliver “Bingbing” Colina.

While in UK, the PFF U-11 selection will come up with a video documentary which will be shown on Studio 23.

Expenses for the trip will be shouldered by the Philippine branch office of the British Council. Also, whatever revenue earned by the video documentary will be deducted from the expenses incurred.

The boys will leave on Aug. 23 and return to the Philippines on Sept. 15. /CORRESPONDENT MARS G. ALISON
