Man found dead off Argao waters

THE body of a man was found floating in the waters off barangay Langtad, Argao town, southern Cebu last Thursday morning.

Police identified the fatality as Gilbert Gil.

Gilbert and his wife Zenaida were chased by police last Monday after they were accused of swindling some residents in Canbanwa.

The couple was on board a motorcycle during the chase.

When the couple was cornered, they decided to jump into a river.

Police said the couple may have drowned because of the strong current. The incident happened during a heavy downpour.
