Widow shot dead in Danao
A 73-YEAR-OLD widow was shot dead while walking along the road in barangay Cabungahan, Danao City, northern Cebu.
Amancia Tariao, a farmer and a resident of barangay Manlayag, succumbed to several gunshot wounds in the body.
The suspect, Julito Montes, 42, remains at large.

Initial investigation revealed that the woman was heading towards her farm near the suspect’s house when she was waylaid past 7 a.m. last Thursday.
Police are still trying to determine the motive of the killing as no one claimed to have witnessed the incident, said PO1 Genric Gabutan of Danao police./REPORTER JOY CHERRY S. QUITO
