5.1-magnitude earthquake hits Mexico—USGS

MEXICO CITY—A magnitude 5.1 earthquake hit Mexico on Tuesday, the US Geological Survey said, shaking buildings in Mexico City, 185 miles (300 kilometers) north of the epicenter.

The quake struck at 2017 GMT near Xochistlahuaca, close to Mexico’s Pacific Coast. There were no immediate reports of casualties.
