THE camp of Bella Ruby Santos is looking for a Cebuano ex-navy man whom they said can help them in the kidnapping with homicide charges that Santos and her British partner Ian Charles Griffiths are facing.

Defense lawyer Rameses Villagonzalo said the Cebuano ex-navy man allegedly identified a Caucasian and a women to have similar features with the cartographic sketches of Ellah Joy Pique’s killers.

“If we will be able to secure his testimonies, the prosecution’s case will be weaker,” said Villagonzalo in a text message to Cebu Daily News. Santos and Griffths are the suspects in the murder of Ellah Joy.

Based on the information they gathered, Villagonzalo said the former navy man saw the male Caucasian and a woman on board a Pajero. He said the ex-navyman didn’t see the Caucasian and the woman kill or throw Ellah Joy’s body./REPORTER ADOR VINCENT S. MAYOL
