Security up in CV
SECURITY is up in Central Visayas following Friday night’s explosion in Cagayan de Oro City that killed six people and left 30 others wounded.
“I directed all subordinate unit commanders to intensify intelligence monitoring of any possible related terror plan by any threat group in our area of responsibility,” said Chief Supt. Generoso Cerbo Jr., chief of the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7).
Cerbo said security should be tightened in public places like malls, churches, terminals and ports.
Cerbo said the police should coordinate with other law enforcement agencies “for stronger and more coordinated efforts.”
Senior Supt. Mariano Natu-el Jr., chief of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), said Cerbo’s order has been disseminated to several police units in the city.
Natu-el clarified that there is no threat of possible terror attacks in Cebu City.
