8th CDU run to give registration discounts

THE upcoming 8th edition of the Cebu Doctors University (CDU) University Run will give a discounted rate in the registration fees of runners joining the run slated on August 18 starting at the CDU campus at the North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.

An “Early Bird” promo was launched by race organizers which will run until August 1 that entitles runners who will register before said date to enjoy a P100 discount on their registration fee.

The regular registration fees are pegged at P750 for the 25-kilometer distance, P650 for the 13k, P350 for the 6k and P300 for the 3k.

For those who will sign up before August 1, they will avail of P100 discount in all distances inclusive of the race singlet, bib, map, refreshments and finishers medal for the 13k and 25k entries.

The running event will once again traverse Cebu’s three famous bridges – the Marcelo Fernan Bridge, the first Mandaue/Lapu-Lapu Bridge and the Cansaga Bridge.

The much-anticipated race is organized by the Run for Sight and the Larrazabal Eye Group.

To register, one can visit the Run For Sight Office at the CDU Hospital and at the CDU Campus.

The top male and female winners in the 25k event will take home P5,000 cash prize along with P25,000 worth of Sun Life Personal Accident insurance and running shirts while the 13k champions will receive P3,000 and P25,000 worth of Sun Life personal accident insurance. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
