SOME 200 more runners have signed up last weekend bringing to 700 the number of runners who have so far registered for this Sunday’s second “Let’s Run for Road Safety” of the MAPFRE Insular at the Cebu Business Park.

Race organizers from MAPFRE Insular headed by Neil Ceniza requested running buffs here in Cebu to join the running event to promote road safety. The run is held in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd).

The race will offer 3-kilometer, 6k and 12k distances.

This year’s run will also mark the culminating activity of the “Road Safety Pledge Campaign,” which was launched during the First Road Safety Run on July 1, 2012.

Registration fee is pegged at P300 for the 3K and 6K categories and P500 for 12K. Registration is still ongoing at Ayala Center Cebu’s RUNNR and Fitness First and at the MAPFRE Insular office located inside the Insular Life Building at the Cebu Business Park. /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
