1,100 chickens stolen

/ 03:10 PM July 22, 2013

ABOUT P160,000 worth of broilers were stolen from a poultry farm in barangay Daanlungsod, Alcoy town, Cebu.

Lilian Nayga, the 43-year-old owner of K and K Farm, told police the stolen 1,100 chickens were scheduled to be delivered last Friday.

Nayga discovered the theft when she went to the farm to pick up the chickens for the delivery, said Insp. Crisanto Abella, chief of the Alcoy Police Station.

Police said Nayga did not discount the possibility that the theft was an inside job.    /CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA
