2 armed men nabbed in chase with cops
TWO men were arrested by police following a brief chase in in barangay Banilad, Mandaue City at dawn yesterday.
Ian Douglas Dacapio, 27, a resident of barangay Bacayan, Cebu City, and Edmar Lahoy-Lahoy, 20, a resident pf barangay Talamban, Cebu City, were found with knives in their possession when they were arrested.
Drug-sniffing paraphernalia and a marijuana stick were also seized from the two men, police said.
After the arrest, Lahoy-Lahoy was identified by Thelma Ouano as the one who robbed her and her daughter outside their house in Banilad early morning last Saturday.
Cash and cellphones were taken from the victims.
Prior to the arrest, patrolling policemen spotted the two men standing near a motorcycle on P. Remedio Street.

Decapio, who was driving the motorcycle, failed to present a driver’s license.
Senior Insp. Ramil Morpos, chief of the Casuntingan police station, said regular checkpoints and patrolling are being done in Banilad to thwart petty crimes. /REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS
