Mayor Estrada ‘added bonus’ to meeting between senator sons
MANILA, Philippines — Newly-elected senator Joseph Victor Ejercito paid a courtesy call to his half-brother Senate President Pro-Tempore Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada Monday morning before the Senate formally opened its session.
Former president and now Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada and wife Loi Ejercito-Estrada were also present in the meeting.
Ejercito said that they were supposed to meet earlier but he had a previous commitment and it was only now during the opening session of the 16th Congress that he was able to come.
Ejercito, formerly the representative of San Juan, said that he was given advice by Estrada on how the Senate was a different level.
He also said that he did not expect his father to come to the courtesy call saying it was “an added bonus.”
