SHAABAA hoop tourney kicks off

THE SACRED Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA), one of Cebu’s oldest and most distinguished alumni basketball leagues, unfolds this afternoon at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu gym in Canduman, Mandaue City.

The season begins with a heavy six-game schedule which immediately starts after the opening ceremonies at 1 p.m.

The playdate today will be highlighted by the finals rematch between the reigning titlists Cebu Landmasters and the perennial contender and many-time former champion, Goldberry Suites.

All the teams are seeing action today with the RDAK Transporters facing off against the MILCO Fresh Eggs; Insular Square battling Alberto’s Pizza; Gaisano Capital duking it out with the San Remegio Aguilas and San Jose Bakeshop taking on the A-Team. /correspondent jonas panerio
