New twist added to Kartzone track

THINGS ARE expected to heat up in today’s third leg of the 2013 Kartzone Superkart Series as it introduces a new wrinkle in the racetrack at the Kartzone track in Brgy. Panagdait.

According to race organizer Kym Limgenco, this race will run in anti-clockwise fashion, with a newly built chicane—nicknamed “Momentum”—being introduced for the occasion.

This leg has also attracted a couple of racers from Manila such as Mikey Jordan and Bianca Bustamante, both of whom will be competing in the Mini ROK class.

The local contingent is expected to be led  by the prodigious Jette Calderon. However, Vince Rojo, the 2012 KT Novice overall champion, is expected to miss the race as he is still recovering from a bout with dengue. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
