2 Cebuanos join Adidas Nations Global camp in US

TWO Cebuanos will be flying to Los Angeles as part of the Philippine squad that will participate in the Adidas Nations Global on Aug. 1 to 5 in the United States.

The two are Jerie Marlon Pingoy, the ultra-talented and much-ballyhooed guard of the Ateneo Blue Eagles in the UAAP and Kiefer Lim, also formerly of the Blue Eagles camp before recently transferring to the University of San Carlos in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi)

They will be joined on the squad by the best young basketball prodigies in the country led by Jay Javelosa, Arvin Tolentino, Prince Rivero, Mario Bonleon Jr., Tomas Romas, Isaac Go, Joshua Dalafu, Vince Denila, Mark Anthony Esclamado, Kim Bayquin, Aldrich Liwag, Apa Mendoza, Renzy RJ Reyes, Warren Gonzales, Bernard De Guia, Manolito Gonzales Jr., and Marvin Gilbert Valderama.

The squad will participate in rigorous training activities, both on and off the floor, under the tutelage of several NBA players, both past and present. Moreover, the six-day event will offer them the opportunity to compete against players from all over the world. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
