HR expert Bill Rothwell to address Cebu forum
HUMAN resource expert and author William J. Rothwell will provide fresh insights on managing people during the 2013 HR symposium, dubbed “Performance Management: Strategies and Breakthroughs,” slated today and tomorrow at the Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City.
The two-day event, which will be attended by human resource and organization development practitioners in the public and private sector, is organized by the Civil Service Commission in partnership with the Australian International Development Fund.
Rothwell, author of Effective Succession Planning, will discuss the benefits of a good performance management system and aligning performance management to organizational culture.
Rothwell joins the roster of performance management experts who will speak in the event. Budget and Management Secretary Florencio Abad leads local advocates who will provide valuable insights on the Results-based Performance Monitoring System.
The symposium aims to serve as a venue to understand and appreciate the different performance management systems and share best practices of its implementation. These include the Strategic Performance Management System prescribed by the CSC to all government agencies towards improved accountability and transparency.
