Knights eye 4th straight win today

Games today:

The Arena

4 p.m. – Perpetual vs. Lyceum

6 p.m. – Letran vs. St. Benilde

THE Letran Knights shoot for a fourth straight win when they battle the hard-luck St. Benilde Blazers today in the NCAA men’s basketball tournament at the Arena in San Juan City.

The Knights have broken out of the gates on fire and have won their first three games of the season to lead the league with a 3-0 (win-loss) record.

Letran, last year’s runners-up, claimed its third win at the expense of the Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers, 69-66, in an overtime thriller last July 6.

In complete contrast, the Blazers have lost their first three games by a combined total of just four points. Their latest heartbreak came last Thursday as they dropped a 71-73 decision to JRU in overtime.

In the first game, the Perpetual Help Altas and the Lyceum Pirates try to take solo third place in a battle between teams toting identical 2-1 records. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
