3 NABBED FOR DRUGS

POLICE arrested three men in separate drug buy-bust operations in Mandaue City.

First to fall were Reynold Jagmoc, 27, and Jay-r Ornopia, who were arrested in barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City at 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Police said Jagmoc and Ornopia were capable of selling P80,000 worth of illegal drugs a week.

The two have been allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade for the past two years, police said.

Police said 10 packs of suspected shabu were seized from Jagmoc’s possession.

Earlier, police arrested Edilberto Cosedo after he allegedly sold a pack of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer in sitio Nangka, barangay Casuntingan.

Police said that after handing over a pack of shabu worth P300 to the poseur-buyer, Cosedo noticed the presence of the policemen and ran.

Senior Insp. Ramil Morpos, chief of the Casuntingan police station, said when Cosedo was cornered, he tried to draw a .38 revolver but the arresting team subdued him, averting a shootout.REPORTER JUCELL MARIE P. CUYOS

DEAD MAN FOUND OFF LAPU

THE body of a still-unidentified man was found floating in the waters off barangay Canjulao, Lapu-Lapu City.

Personnel of Coast Guard-Cebu Station fished the body out of the water before noon yesterday.

The man believed to be in his 50’s had no external injuries. The man may have been dead for more than 24 hours.
