Parents, relatives of abandoned children sought

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development in Central Visayas is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the parents and relatives of the abandoned children.

A baby girl named Angela Faith Narboada was turned over by a certain Mary Ann, believed to be her mother from Catmon, northern Cebu, to Angelyn Narboada on Sept. 5, 2012 at Rodela’s parlor in barangay Yati, Liloan town. According to Mary Ann, the child was born on Nov. 10, 2010.

A baby boy named Renante Generalao was left by an unidentified person along the sidewalk on R. Padilla Street, barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City on Aug. 14, 2012 at 3 a.m. The baby was around three-weeks old when found by Jimmy Generalao.

A baby girl named Esther Lagunay was found by Eduardo Butal Ceniza last May 29 near their house in sitio Candagon, barangay Cantubod Danao, Bohol.

Jay-R Peña, one-month old, was left by his mother Jocelyn Peña to the Reception and Study Center for Children of the DSWD-7 on Gorordo Avenue corner M.J. Cuenco Avenue, Cebu City last May 22.

The DSWD-7 is requesting the parents and relatives to appear or claim the children within two months or call social workers Vilma Cosido, Nadz Noel and Rosalina Tatoy at 4213360. Failure of the parties to appear will subject the children for abandonment proceedings at the DSWD Central Office.
