Couple arrested
Police yesterday linked a couple in the killing of a call center agent last week.
Senior Supt. Mariano Natu-el Jr., Cebu City Police Office chief, said witnesses had identified Christian Saballa, 19, and her partner Pretty Rose Maneva, 20.
Saballa and Maneva were arrested after they tried to snatch the bag of a woman walking along Modesta Street, barangay Lahug, Cebu City last Saturday.
A motorist saw the commotion and alerted barangay tanods, who chased the couple, and cornered them.
Last week, call center agent Jovanni Libunao de Jesus was walking along F. Cabahug St. in barangay Kasambagan when a woman tried to grab his bag.

A fire yesterday destroyed a two-story house in Colina Compound, barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
Arson Investigator Cipriano Codilla estimated the damage to property at P60,000.
Codilla said the fire was probably caused by a short circuit.

Olango rumble
Two men were stabbed and wounded during a rumble that erupted in a benefit dance last Sunday in barangay Sabang, Olango Island, Lapu-Lapu City
Sony Boy Suliano, 20, of barangay Sabang, and Jeric Apa, 20, of barangay Tungasan were brought to different hospitals after the stabbing.
Both men were stabbed in the back and had punctured kidneys.
Investigation showed that both men faced off armed with knives during the rumble.

Robbed
A 28-YEAR-OLD man sustained a stabbed wound after he tried to fight off a robber in sitio Lalin barangay, Jagobiao, Mandaue City last Sunday.
Efren Praca was brought to the hospital with a stab wound in the shoulder.
Investigation showed that Praca passed by an abandoned house when a man suddenly approached him and declared a holdup.
Praca fought the robber off and even managed to slam the robber’s head in the concrete fence. Praca ran to seek help after he was stabbed. He lost P3,000, his cell phone amounting to P5,000 and clothes amounting to P3,300.
