Alert out vs teen gang of robbers

Policemen in Makati and Taguig cities have been ordered to go after robbery gangs composed of teens who prey on C5 motorists caught in heavy traffic during heavy rains.

“They choose a specific time when to strike. Usually, it’s between 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.,” Chief Supt. Jose Erwin Villacorte, Southern Police District chief, said in an interview.

He issued the order after following a series of robberies on the major thoroughfare. A barangay official in Pembo, Jeline Olfato, said that at least one case is reported every day.
