FOUR men were shot by a man whose motorcycle he was driving was nearly hit by the car ridden by the victims in barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.
Jeffrey Molina Rosalejos, 37, a seaman and a resident of barangay Pahina Central, his brother Marlon, 36, Reynard Quijano, 29; and Monroe Bronula, 42, of Guadalupe, sustained minor gunshot wounds.
Police said the victims were on board a Toyota Revo (GRP-915) driven by Bronula when they were attacked past midnight yesterday.
Police said the car was crossing the corner of V. Rama Avenue and Duterte Street when Bronula nearly hit a motorcycle.
The Revo stopped near a waiting shed. The motorcycle made a U-turn and stopped near the car.
Bronula apologized to the driver of the motorcycle.
The driver, however, pulled out a gun and fired shots then drove off.
The victims drove to the Cebu Doctors’ Hospital.
SPO4 Rey Cuyos, homicide investigator of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), said they believed that the attack was not planned and that the near traffic accident triggered the incident./CORRESPONDENT CHITO O. ARAGON
