Deranged man survives bridge leap
A 32-YEAR-OLD man jumped off Cansaga Bay Bridge in Consolacion town, northern Cebu.
Danny (not his real name) survived the leap but sustain injuries in different parts of the body.
Concerned citizens alerted the Mandaue City Police Office that a man was seen on the bridge trying to commit suicide past 2 p.m. Monday.

Police rushed to the area to prevent the leap but it was too late.

Paramedics from the Emmergency Rescue Unit Foundation brought the man to a hospital in Cebu City.
Senior Insp. Wilson Abot, chief of the Basak police station, said they later learned that the man was mentally il.
