Guioguio secures early lead in ICTSI Ladies Golf tour

BUKIDNON-native Lovelyn Guioguio sank two birdies late on the back nine to salvage a two-under 70 in spite of the torrid rain and come away as the leader after the first round of action in the second leg of the ICTSI Ladies Philippine Golf Tour yesterday at the North course of the Canlubang Golf and Country Club in Laguna.
Guioguio, last year’s Philippine Amateur Open champion, seized control early with a birdie on No. 2 and held sway with clutch pars before pulling away from the field with back-to-back birdies from No. 16 to negate her lone bogey mishap on No. 13.   /Correspondent Jonas  Panerio
