Abanilla out, Sauler in as La Salle coach

The La Salle Green Archers made official their head coaching change, replacing Gee Abanilla with  Juno Sauler  over the weekend.

The move has raised eyebrows across the collegiate basketball community with the UAAP’s new season already opening at the end of the month.

Abanilla is set to return full-time to his position as assistant coach with the Petron Blaze Boosters in the PBA.

School president and chancellor Ricky Laguda FSC  issued a statement explaining the reason behind the sudden coaching change. He said that the Boosters were set to undergo a reorganization within the squad, hence the development. He also thanked Abanilla for his efforts during his brief time at the helm.
