Young girl finds nanny’s body

A nine-year-old girl who secretly followed her nanny outside the house wound up nearly stumbling over her bloodied body on the street on Saturday night in Quezon City.

The victim, Dolores Estoce, 40, died on the spot due to multiple stabwounds.

The police, however, have yet to identify Estoce’s attacker as the only witness—the young girl—did not see anybody before she found the victim lying on the ground in front of a neighbor’s house at 7:30 p.m.

Earlier, the girl told her mother that the victim had been looking troubled and pacing inside their house at 7 Alley J in Project 7. The victim later went outside without saying anything to the child.

PO2 Romeo Niño of the Quezon City Police District’s Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said that the girl, out of concern for her nanny, decided to follow her after a few minutes.

She then found the victim lying on the street, her body covered in blood due to multiple stab wounds. The girl ran back to their house and asked for help from her mother but when they returned, the victim was already dead, the police added.

According to the case investigator, it was still unclear why the victim had appeared troubled although the reason may be connected to her killing.
