More than 250 residents were able to avail of the free dental services during the dental mission at the Lower Tunghaan Elementary School in barangay Tunghaan, Minglanilla town, southern Cebu.

The three-day activity was sponsored by King Properties, in cooperation with the Juanito I. King Foundation Inc. (JIKFI) and Cebu Dental Chapter.

Volunteers from King Properties and JIKFI in-house dentists, assisted by the barangay health workers, came together to perform free dental procedures from May 30 to June 1, such as tooth restoration, cleaning and extraction.

The volunteers also provided blood pressure testing and health tips among hypertensive and at-risk patients.

The activity is in line with JIKFI-Cebu Dental Chapter Mobile Dental Project’s commitment to oral health and education among the marginalized sector and school-age children.

The King Properties has been tying up with JIKFI, (a PCNC accredited institution) to organize the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. Through such activities, the employees get involved and experience volunteerism firsthand.

Both JIKFI and CDC are now accepting CSR partnerships and dental mission requests for the indigent groups. You may call John at 415-8330 or you may visit their office at Room 202 of Cebu Holding Center.
