Truck rams house, kills 1
QUEZON–A person was killed and three others suffered serious injuries when a 10-wheeler truck rammed into their house in Tagkawayan, Quezon, according to police.
In a report, Chief Insp. Edcille Canals, Quezon police media relations officer, said a Bicol-bound truck was negotiating a downhill sharp curve on Quirino Highway in Barangay San Vicente when it encountered mechanical trouble.
Canals said the truck driver, Joffrey Jacob, lost control of the truck that rammed a house on the side of the road. Jacob was pinned down inside the vehicle and was dead on the spot.
The truck helper, Richard Perez, and house occupants Editha Garcia and James David Garcia all suffered injuries and were taken to a hospital. Delfin T. Mallari Jr., Inquirer Southern Luzon
