Cebuana tennis leg 13 winners

MARC Nicole Suson of Cebu ruled the boys 12-under division of the Cebuana Lhuillier Age Group – Leg 13 held in Ubay, Bohol over the weekend.

Suson clinched the title with a 6-1, 6-0 lambasting of Kidapawan City’s Eric John Comendador.

Tangub City’s Francis Dominic Lanzado outsmarted Misamis Oriental’s Emmanuel Vacalares Jr. twice to go home with the titles in the 16 and 18 under categories.

In the 16-under, Lanzado swept past Vacalares, 6-3, 6-3, while he once again defeated Vacalares with the same scores in the 18-U.

The 14-under title was clinched by Jose Maria Pague of Zamboanga Sibugay by outsmarting Jagna, Bohol’s Russel Cero, 7-5, 6-4.

In the girls’ division, Dawn Albert Uy bagged the 16 and 18-under titles.

For the 16-under title, Uy survived gruelling three sets against Leyte’s Joy Camille Sanico, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3. In the 18-under, Uy dismissed Fatima May Cuyno, 6-4, 7-5, for the title.

The 14 under title was notched by Bais City’s Angela Cabaral, who demolished Cagayan de Oro’s Gennifer Lysandra Pagente, 6-2, 6-2. Pagente defeated Armida Gumapac, 6-2, 6-0, for the 12-under title.

Surigao City’s Rupert Ohrelle Tortal survived three sets against Ozamiz City’s Ashton Benne Villanueva, 4-1, 1-4, 4-2, to lord it over in the 10-under unisex. /Correspondent Mars Alison
