Ateneo tossers near three-peat in V-League

THE belles of the Ateneo Lady Eagles stand a win away from achieving an impressive “three-peat” after they routed the National University Lady Bulldogs, 25-15, 25-22, 25-23 in Game One of the best-of-three finals series in the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 First Conference before a sellout crowd at the MOA Arena last night.

The Lady Eagles stayed on top of the Lady Bulldogs’ vaunted power game with terrific net defense led by Marge Tejada and Amy Ahomiro while getting significant attacks from Jeng Bualee and Rachel Ann Daquis to post the sweep in the opener. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
