Balletcenter Cebu to perform in Bohol

BALLETCENTER Cebu’s summer spectacular 2013 will be shown at the Cultural Center of Talibon in Bohol today at 7 p.m. for the local audience.

The show is done in cooperation with Visayas Mission Confraternity Inc. (VMCI) Mobile Theatre headed by its founder and executive director Fr. Bienvenido Disu.

The ballet spectacular, dubbed as “Sing Sing Sing,” will showcase modern jazz and contemporary ballet with songs from the 1940’s up to the present to be interpreted by ballet artists, aged 3 to 63 years old, from Jao Island, Talibon.

A classical piece from Nicolas Pacaña’s “Galaxy” will also be performed.

Gregory Aaron, artistic director of Atlanta Festival Ballet Company and Atlanta Festival Ballet School who is the co-artistic director of Balletcenter Cebu will lead his team of 200 artists and scholars.

Balletcenter Cebu is also preparing for its auditions of ‘Swan Lake’ for September 2013 and welcoming students for their regular once-a-week or twice-a-week ballet lessons from June to March.
