Green beats Blue in cekalco hoop

THE Green Lantern beat Blue Ice Dragon, 65-59, Tuesday night for its 6th win in nine games to stay on top of the heap with a 6-3 card while the latter dropped to 5-3 in the CEKALCO-Mayor Mike Rama Cup basketball tournament at the A. Lopez open court.
After a 16-all deadlock in the  first  period, Green Lantern uncorked a, 20-12 rally in the 2nd for an 8-point lead, 36-28, at the half.
Blue Ice Dragon  closed the gap at 46-48 heading to the final quarter where Green Lantern outscored the former, 17-13 to win by six.
Michael Sameon powered Green Lantern with 17 points while Filmar Cacharro paced Blue Ice Dragon with a night-high 29 markers.
